I really like the idea of Kain's crown bleeding down like that, and the shading of Christie's scarf and Kain's hair especially looks good!
And the fact that it's a photograph actually gives a nice texture to the image : D I also find that it usually works better with the colors than scans, but that might just be me who has that issue u v u ;;

And yeah, I agree with the photo vs. scanning thing. The scanner always seems to destroy the colors on my traditional pieces ahaha;;;;
